What is First aid?
First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person with either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life.
Why is it important to have trained first aiders?
Every employer in the UK, regardless of the size of the company, is legally obliged to plan for the provision of first aid at work.
Employers must make sure that someone is always available to give or arrange first aid. This applies if the designated first aider is absent for any reason. First aiders must have a valid first aid training certificate.
What type of courses are there?
There are different types of first aid courses available for delegates to attend such as First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, or an Annual First Aid Refresher course.
